The story of Don Cannolo
Don Cannolo is not just a character: he is a chef, a farmer, a selector of Italian gastronomic excellence.
As a child, at just 12 years old , he spent hours in the kitchen next to his mother, intoxicated by the aromas of the sauce simmering gently, the aubergines being fried for pasta alla norma , and the sound of the basil being crushed in the mortar to make pesto .
He dreamed of becoming a chef , and in a certain sense, today he is: an ambassador of Sicilian and Italian cuisine in the world.
His passion began even earlier, thanks to his grandfather, who instilled in him a love for the land and its fruits, such as the cheese they made with fresh milk from the cows at dawn. Don Cannolo has always grown Sicilian tomatoes , producing an artisanal tomato sauce with an authentic flavor, thick and fragrant, just like it used to be made in the olden days.
